Dry Weather Expected In Most Parts Of Country, Rain Likely In Upper Areas

Karachi is forecast to remain hot and humid over the next three days. ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Sep, 2026) The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast dry weather across most parts of the country during the next 24 hours. However, light rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms is likely at some places in Gilgit-Baltistan, Chitral and Dir. According to the Met Office, most areas will remain dry, while the intensity of heat is expected to persist during the daytime in the plains. Partly cloudy conditions may prevail in the upper and northern areas. Islamabad and adjoining areas are likely to experience dry weather. Most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will also remain dry; however, partly cloudy conditions are expected in the upper districts, with light rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms likely at some places in Chitral and Dir. Most parts of Punjab will remain dry, while the weather is expected to be hot during the day in the plains. Most districts of Sindh will remain hot and dry, although partly cloudy conditions may prevail in coastal areas. Most districts of Balochistan are also forecast to remain hot and dry. In Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, partly cloudy conditions are expected, with light rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms possible at some places in Gilgit-Baltistan. Meanwhile, under the influence of a westerly system entering the country, Karachi is likely to remain relatively hot and humid over the next three days. According to the Early Warning Centre forecast of the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature may range between 33°C and 35°C. Besides sea breezes, winds from the west may also blow in Karachi. The weather may remain hot and humid in other districts of Sindh as well; however, rain accompanied by thunderstorms is expected in Jamshoro.
