Chicago's restaurant openings roundup is your resource to find out what's on its way in . The list is by no means comprehensive. Have information on another closing? Send all tips to chicago@eater.com. LINCOLN PARK— On the edge of Oz Park sits Paper Tiger, a new North Side cafe serving coffee, tea, and frozen matcha topped with sweet cream. The cafe officially opened on Saturday, June 6, but is already drawing crowds, largely for that aforementioned frozen matcha. The menu also includes mini waffles, breakfast sandwiches, and pastries. 628 W. Webster Avenue WEST LOOP — All Too Well has opened its third location in the West Loop. The gourmet sandwich shop, a sister restaurant to chef Mitchell AbouJamra's New York Times-recognized restaurant, Evette's, in Lincoln Park, held its first service on Saturday, May 16, before officially opening on Wednesday, May 20. 1009 W. Madison Street LAKEVIEW — Apothecary, a pharmacy-influenced cocktail bar from actual pharmacist Eric Reid, opened in Lakeview on Friday, May 29. The cocktail lounge swaps televisions and game-day crowds for jazz and soul vinyl records, while the drinks menu leans into Reid's medical background. Cocktails are accompanied by a classification key that labels each drink by effect: digestif, stimulant, anxiolytic, or aphrodisiac. The menu rounds out the experience with dishes like chicken-fried oyster mushrooms, burgers topped with onion jam, and fries served with melted leek aioli. 3242 N. Clark Street Apothecary Cocktail Lounge, a bar owned by a bona fide pharmacist, recently opened. Ryan Beshel RIVER NORTH — The team behind Prime & Provisions debuted Naia, an Eastern Mediterranean restaurant, to the Chicago waterfront on Monday, June 1. Four years in the making, owners Luke Stoioff and David Rekhson envisioned a restaurant that matched its setting: skyline views, waterfront seating, and a menu built on the idea that certain foods belong by the water. Expect grilled meats and seafood, fresh pastas, and tableside hummus service.. 300 N. LaSalle Street FULTON RIVER DISTRICT — Mazor is a counter-service restaurant blending Mexican and Guatemalan influences. Built around fresh masa, the menu includes tostadas, tacos, empanadas, and guacsalsa — a house blend of guacamole and salsa served with heirloom corn chips. Owner and chef Christian Orozco drew inspiration from growing up in Guatemala near the Mexican border, where crossing the border for meals and errands shaped his relationship with food. The 30-seat BYOB restaurant also serves horchata and aguas frescas and plans to host intimate monthly tasting menus. Originally expected to open in February, the restaurant finally debuted on Monday, June 1. 485 N. Milwaukee Avenue ROSCOE VILLAGE — Named after their grandmother, who loves coffee and company, Michael and Rob Young opened Dots Cafe as an all-day neighborhood gathering spot on Friday, May 8. Open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., the cafe serves coffee from Metric alongside pastries sourced from Publican Quality Bread. Standouts include the crunch peanut butter cold brew, the guava espresso, and a breakfast sandwich layered with egg, capicola, smoked mozzarella, Calabrian aioli, and pecorino. 2000 W. Addison Street Bluefin tuna tostadas with salsa macha, avocado, red onions, and cilantro. Noncreative Photo/Mazor Chicago BUCKTOWN— The Origin, a modern African restaurant and lounge, opened on Friday, May 15, in Bucktown. The space pairs Afrobeats with local artwork, and its menu features African staples like jollof rice, goat pepper soup, and red snapper. One of its most distinctive features is a rotating chef residency program that invites chefs from across the African diaspora to cook dishes rooted in their own cultures. 2010 W Armitage Avenue EDISON PARK -— What started as appearances at farmers markets and brewery pop-ups across Chicago has turned into a permanent home inside the Emerald Isle as of early May. Brennan's Gourmet Burger Shack serves smash burgers alongside beef tallow fries, homemade pickles, and signature sauces that have helped build a following. The menu rotates specialty burgers, including the Too Gouda Be True with Gouda, red onion jam, cream sherry mayo, and fried onions, and the Royale topped with Havarti, aged white cheddar, caramelized onions, and dill-pickled jalapeños. Outdoor seating and takeout are available. 6686 N. Northwest Highway LINCOLN PARK — The team behind Pilsen Yards and the Alderman has revived the former Beaumont space with a new restaurant: Beaumont's American Tavern, a 200-seat restaurant anchored by an upstairs steakhouse called the Bull Moose. Executive chef Johnny Besch leads a menu centered on classic American fare, including fresh pastas, shrimp and grits, charcoal-fired steaks, and seafood. Upstairs, Bull Moose shifts the mood with a smaller dining room, tufted booths, dim lighting, and a fireplace that leans into Chicago's longstanding love of steakhouses and old-school hospitality. Beaumont's opened at the end of May, while the sibling steakhouse is expected to arrive later this summer. 2020 N. Halsted Street Steak. Beaumont's American Tavern DOWNTOWN — The Ives opened on Tuesday, May 19, inside the Chicago Athletic Association, taking over the former Cherry Circle Room space. From Boka Restaurant Group and chef-partner Chris Pandel, the restaurant leans into tableside theatrics and classic American dining. Expect Champagne carts rolling through the dining room, carved-to-order prime rib, and warm interiors.. 12 S. Michigan Avenue WICKER PARK — East Coast bagel chain Call Your Mother opened its first Midwest location in Wicker Park in late May. Known for its bright pink storefronts and playful atmosphere, the Call Your Mother built its following on bagels that blend Montreal bagels' sweetness and New York bagels' fluffy texture. The menu also riffs on Jewish deli staples with sandwiches like the Jet Ski, layered with brisket, pastrami, sofrito, jalapeño, and cheese, and the Hidden Cove with smoked salmon, mashed avocado, Korean-style cucumbers, seaweed flakes, and shredded carrots. The company began as a farmers' market operation before expanding into one of the country's more recognizable modern bagel brands, fueled, in part, by a 2025 deal with investment firm Invus Group. 1615 N. Damen Avenue
