Exit interviews: Commanders reflect on how this season turned so sour

The Washington Commanders' season had already started to slip away by the time quarterback Jayden Daniels extended his left arm in an attempt to cushion his fall. At that point in the fourth quarter of an ugly loss in early November, the Commanders had lost three in a row, including two blowouts. A fourth consecutive defeat, and a 3-6 record, appeared all but certain. As Daniels' arm bent gruesomely on the grass at Northwest Stadium, Terry McLaurin, who was sidelined with an injury of his own, said the reality hit him.
