LDA demolishes illegal commercial structures, seals 20 properties

LAHORE, Sep 29 (APP): Town Planning Wing of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has intensified its operation against illegal commercial buildings and properties defaulting on commercial fees and demolished several illegal structures and sealing 20 properties in different areas of the city. The operation was conducted on the directions of LDA Director General Tahir Farooq in Ferozepur Road, Gulberg and Mustafa Town. During the operation, LDA teams demolished several illegal constructions along Ferozepur Road. As part of a recovery operation, 10 properties in Gulberg and 10 in Mustafa Town were sealed for violations and non-payment of commercial fees. The sealed properties included a private school, beauty salon, food point, auto workshop, clinic, laboratory, shops, showroom and offices, among others. The operation was conducted under the supervision of Chief Town Planner-I Asad-uz-Zaman and Chief Town Planner-II Azhar Ali.
