NEW YORK, New York - U.S. stocks rebounded Friday, following a volatile week and a sharp sell-off on Thursday. Bond yields rose again on Friday as inflation fears continue to take hold. In the UK, 30-year Gilts hit 6 percent. Oil prices fell slightly after President Trump negotiated a deal to buy diesel from Russia's Vladimir Putin in exchange for easing sanctions. The Standard and Poor's 500 rose to 7,811.54, up 46.18 points or 0.59 per cent, on volume of 2.583B. The index opened at 7,779.34, reached an intraday high of 7,820.57, and recorded a 52-week low of 6,316.91 against a 52-week high of 7,844.52. The NASDAQ Composite ended at 27,366.17, up 172.83 points or 0.64 percent, on volume of 5.42B. Foreign Exchange Markets: Swiss Franc, Pound and Australian Dollar Gain Friday; Euro, Canadian Dollar and Yen Decline The latest world foreign exchange quotes for Friday showed a mixed session, with the Swiss franc, British pound and Australian dollar posting gains while the euro, Canadian dollar and Japanese yen weakened.
