Sewer deaths

Two sanitation workers died cleaning a sewer pit or tank in Kutchi Memon Jamat building at Bhimpura Karachi on 10 September 2026. The deaths occurred in exactly the same way and for exactly the same reason. They occur, unnoticed, every week in one or the other sewage gutter of Pakistan. A standard operating process comes into action. Cruelly exploited sanitation workers, compelled by poverty, are made to enter raw sewage gutters, and clean human excrement with their bare hands under barbaric and inhumane conditions. These are unknown individuals and not listed as employees in any organisation. The two Bhimpura deaths are shrouded in mystery. This is an appeal to the Sindh Government to appoint a judicial commission to investigate the death of the two sanitation workers and the reasons why no investigation was carried out and.
