All Zu Cards used for travel on the Zu Peshawar Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system must be registered through the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) biometric verification . Passengers have until December 31, 2026, to complete the registration process. From January 1, 2027, unregistered Zu Cards will be blocked and cannot be used for travel. How can passengers register their Zu Cards? According to TransPeshawar, passengers can register their cards at ticket desks at all BRT stations during station operating hours. Passengers must bring their original Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) and Zu Card. Station staff will collect the required details and complete biometric verification to register the card. The registration fee for a Zu Card is Rs 10. What documents are required for children? Passengers under the age of 18 can register their Zu Cards using a B Form or the CNIC of a parent or legal guardian. For registration through a B Form, the child must provide their Zu Card and B Form. Biometric verification is also required. If the card is registered using a parent's or guardian's CNIC, the child must bring their Zu Card. The parent or guardian must also be present with their original CNIC for biometric verification. Why is Zu Card registration necessary? TransPeshawar Chief Executive Officer Dr Syed Murtaza Asghar Bukhari said the new system aims to improve security by verifying the identity of passengers. He said the initiative would help make travel safer and more organised. He also urged passengers to register their cards before the deadline. Early registration will help them avoid travel problems and long queues at registration counters near the deadline. How can foreign passengers travel on Zu Peshawar?
