Arc System Works and PlayStation revealed the full Year 1 DLC roadmap for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls at EVO France, confirming which fighters will join the roster over the next year. The Marvel Tokon DLC plan starts with Phoenix Cyclops on November 2, 2026. Thor (Jane Foster) follows in winter 2027, Marvel Tokon Venom arrives in spring 2027 with a new Klyntar stage, and Jubilee closes the pass in summer 2027. Characters and the stage can be bought separately or through the Year 1 Character & Stage Pass. Female Thor Surprises Fans Many fans expected Thor Odinson. Instead, the trailer showed Jane Foster's Mighty Thor. That twist drew a lukewarm reaction from parts of the community after the EVO reveal. The pick fits Tokon's habit of unexpected versions, after choices such as Phoenix Cyclops, but online chatter was quieter than for past roster drops. Assist Spam and a Coming Balance Patch Beyond the roster news, players and EVO viewers have complained that assists are too strong and too easy to spam. Many said matches are hard to follow when both sides keep firing assists. Director Kazuto Sekine has said assist and tag use exceeded the team's plans and that longer cooldowns are being prepared. A build shown at EVO reportedly tested tighter assist timing, pointing to a balance update aimed at those complaints. High Stakes for Arc System Works If the patch works, Arc System Works may steady Marvel Tokon after a rocky post-launch stretch. The title is one of the studio's biggest games in a long time. Some fans warn that if it fades quickly, talk of an 'Arc System Works curse' — games dying within about six months — will only get louder.
