Fuel Price Update! Govt Increases Petrol Prices by Rs. 2.02, Diesel Decreases by Rs. 3.59

Pakistan's federal government has revised petroleum prices, increasing the ex-depot price of petrol by Rs. 2.02 per litre, taking it from Rs. 389.28 to Rs. 391.30 per litre. Meanwhile, the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has been reduced by Rs. 3.59 per litre, bringing it down to Rs. 408.53 per litre. The reduction in diesel prices is expected to provide some relief to sectors that rely heavily on diesel for transportation and operations. The revised petroleum prices will remain applicable from September 26 to September 28, 2026, under the federal government's petroleum pricing mechanism. The short validity period reflects the latest adjustment made in response to changes considered under the pricing framework.
