4.3m tourists visited Pakistan in two years

. More than 4.3 million foreign tourists visited Pakistan during 2024 and 2025, according to figures presented by the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination in the National Assembly on Friday. The ministry reported that more than 2.1 million international tourists arrived in Pakistan in 2024, followed by approximately 2.2 million in 2025. Over the two-year period, more than 1.216 million visitors came from Afghanistan, over 1.017 million from the UK and more than 500,000 from the United States. Iran accounted for around 260,000 arrivals, while Canada contributed approximately 234,000 visitors. According to the country-wise figures presented to the National Assembly, 641,199 tourists arrived from Afghanistan in 2024, followed by 575,674 in 2025. The United Kingdom sent 503,409 visitors in 2024 and 514,412 in 2025, bringing the two-year total to more than one million. Arrivals from the US stood at 261,282 in 2024 and 248,665 in 2025. Visitors from Iran numbered 106,835 in 2024 and 152,885 in 2025. Canada accounted for 116,529 arrivals in 2024 and 117,600 in 2025, taking its two-year total to more than 234,000. The figures showed that 74,093 tourists arrived from China in 2024, compared with 85,575 in 2025. Germany accounted for 41,389 visitors in 2024 and 43,097 in 2025, while arrivals from Australia stood at 59,154 in 2024 and 58,578 in 2025. Among other countries, 14,187 tourists arrived from Malaysia in 2024, compared with 11,626 in 2025. Thailand accounted for 6,762 visitors in 2024 and 5,694 in 2025.
