President summons sessions of NA, Senate today

ISLAMABAD - President Asif Ali Zardari has summoned the sessions of the National Assembly and Senate on Tuesday (today), October 13, 2026. The sessions will be held at 6:15pm at Parliament House, Islamabad. The National Assembly (NA) session is summoned to meet today (Tuesday) after the gap of around a month. The first sitting of the national assembly session in the evening will only offer Fateha for five-time MNA Mehmood Bashir Virk. The routine business, as per the norms of the parliamentary practices, will not be taken today in the national assembly as the lawmakers from both sides pay tribute to the late MNA Mehmood Bashir Virk. This session, lawmakers from both sides, will discuss important political matters including imposition of emergency and creation of new provinces.
