Pakistan, Saudi Arabia vow to strengthen bilateral ties

VEHARI - An important and cordial meeting was held at Governor House Lahore between Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and prominent industrialist Nawab Shehzad Ali Khan. The meeting discussed the strong brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, mutual affection and respect, and ways to further strengthen the longstanding friendly ties between the two countries. Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said that the relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia was not merely limited to diplomatic ties, as the people of both countries were deeply connected through religious, cultural and brotherly bonds. He said Saudi Arabia had always stood by Pakistan in difficult times, which was highly valued and respected by the Pakistani nation. He added that there were vast opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in the fields of trade, investment, education, industry and other sectors, which could play an important role in further strengthening Pak-Saudi relations. On the occasion, prominent industrialist Nawab Shehzad Ali Khan said that the people of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia shared a strong and historic bond of love and devotion. He said Saudi Arabia had always supported Pakistan in difficult times, while the Pakistani people held the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Saudi people in the highest esteem. He added that Pakistani business and industrial circles were keen to enhance investment and commercial cooperation with Saudi Arabia. He stressed that positive diplomatic, business and people-to-people contacts between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia should be further promoted to strengthen the historic friendship between the two brotherly countries.
