Interloop plans $55 million dairy investment
Separately, Interloop Holdings plans to invest $55 million, approximately Rs15 billion, in a dairy processing facility in Faisalabad in partnership with Türkiye's Rella Gıda, with commercial production expected to begin within 18 months.
The investment will be undertaken through the newly incorporated IL Foods Limited, which will manufacture cheese, butter and Whey Protein Concentrate (WPC80).
Interloop Holdings Chairman Musadaq Zulqarnain announced the project on social media platform X on Thursday, saying the new facility would increase the group's combined annual milk processing capacity to 180 million litres.
The project is also intended to develop export markets, reduce dependence on imported dairy products and introduce modern processing technology to Pakistan's dairy industry.
