Nancy Guthrie update: Close friend shares new clue about Guthrie's kids Lauren Serpa, a longtime friend of kidnapped woman Nancy Guthrie, has shared a major update about Nancy's daughter Annie and son-in-law Tommaso Cioni. She revealed that the couple is 'back in town.' Mrs Nancy Guthrie, 84, the mother of TODAY's show host Savannah Guthrie, was reported missing from her Catalina Foothills home close to Tucson, Arizona, on February 1st. She is presumed to have had dinner with Annie the previous day and is said to have been dropped off at her place by Tommaso after dinner. Serpa, in her Facebook message, requested that everyone allow the couple their privacy. "As everybody knows, Annie and Tommaso are back in town, and their son is back in school. I am requesting everybody to please leave them alone," she wrote. "This has been a long six months for them. They deserve to lead a normal life without always being stalked and observed by people." It has not been easy for Annie and Tommaso since the disappearance of Mrs Guthrie, even though Sheriff Chris Nanos has previously assured us that neither of them is a suspect. This became even more difficult when the former NewsNation reporter Ashleigh Banfield claimed Tommaso may be involved.
