Prince Harry's touching reaction as President hails special bond with country

Prince Harry was given a warm endorsement from Botswana's president as he returned to New York. The Duke of Sussex was among the guests at National Geographic's Okavango Eternal event during Climate Week NYC, where he listened to President Duma Boko. President Boko spoke warmly about Harry's connection to Botswana, describing the Duke as 'a regular, almost a citizen of Botswana, particularly the Okavango Delta.' 'We appreciate the work that you do,' he added. Harry joined government leaders, conservationists and environmental advocates at the gathering, which focused on efforts to protect the Okavango Delta and the waterways that sustain the vital wetland. Environmental ministers from Namibia and Angola were also in attendance. The appearance came after a busy day in New York for the Duke, who had earlier taken part in the Clinton Global Initiative Annual Meeting. During the Skift event, Harry spoke warmly about his love for Botswana and how he began travelling the world following the death of his mother, Princess Diana. He explained how his experiences abroad, particularly his time in Africa, opened his eyes to the importance of conservation and the sense of connection shared by communities around the world.
