Diesel's latest wearable isn't trying to disappear into the background, and that's the point. The Diesel Ultrahuman Smart Ring, developed with health-tech brand Ultrahuman, takes the increasingly popular smart ring format and wraps it in Diesel's unapologetically industrial design language.
Built on Ultrahuman's established smart-ring platform and shaped under the creative direction of Glenn Martens, the ring delivers continuous health tracking without looking like a medical device. It monitors sleep, heart rate, steps, calories, stress, and recovery, while also offering less common insights like caffeine intake (with suggested cu t-off times) and ovulation tracking. All of it runs quietly in the background, designed for 24/7 wear, including overnight, without pushing notifications in your face. Battery life lands at a respectable four to six days, syncing happens automatically, and notably, there's no subscription required. Data privacy is baked in, not upsold later, which already puts it ahead of a lot of wearables pretending to be lifestyle products.
Design-wise, this is where Diesel flexes. The ring comes in shiny silver or distressed black, both stamped with the brand's Double D logo. Even the charging dock gets attention, finished in Diesel red and packaged with the kind of bold red-and-white graphics you'd expect from the brand. It's less 'invisible tech' and more 'deliberate accessory.' This isn't Diesel's first attempt at wearables, the brand dipped into smartwatches back in 2019, but the Ultrahuman Smart Ring feels more aligned with where fashion-tech is headed. It doesn't scream performance gear, yet it still delivers serious biometric insight. It's a health device you don't feel the need to hide. Diesel Ultrahuman Smart Ring is available now through Diesel, Ultrahuman, and select retailers, priced at £469 / €559. For now, it skips the U.S., which somehow feels very on-brand.
