In a statement on X, the FO said DPM/FM Ishaq Dar held a meeting with German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul and discussed avenues to further enhance bilateral relations. During the meeting, the two sides felicitated each other on the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Germany and reaffirmed the importance of sustained high-level engagement to further strengthen the longstanding and cordial bilateral relationship. They also agreed to enhance cooperation in defence, education, skills and people-to-people contacts, the FO said. The two sides also exchanged views on regional developments. The German foreign minister appreciated Pakistan's constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability through dialogue and diplomacy. They also discussed the situation in Palestine, and DPM/FM Dar reaffirmed the importance of sustained international efforts towards a ceasefire, humanitarian assistance and a just and lasting solution based on the two-State solution, the FO added.
