KP governor hits out at PTI leaders for 'misleading' workers

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has criticised the PTI leadership, alleging that its leaders retreat during difficult situations while leaving workers at the forefront. In a statement posted on social media, Kundi claimed that former KP chief minister Ali Amin Gandapur, while returning from the York Toll Plaza, told workers that Section 144 was in force. The governor disputed the claim, saying the relevant notification clearly specified that Section 144 had been imposed for particular periods and in specific areas of Dera Ismail Khan, and was not applicable at the York Toll Plaza. Kundi accused the PTI leadership of misleading its own workers and said the party's leadership had repeatedly adopted such an approach during difficult situations. Referring to the current political situation in KP, he also alleged that the person "running" Chief Minister Sohail Afridi was a fugitive. Kundi concluded his remarks with a reference to what he described as "dancing horses," saying that such horses do not run in the field.
