The trials of AI

The News. — AI is making it difficult to judge between what's original and what's fake. AI-generated voice scams, deepfake videos and AI-assisted cyberattacks reveal a growing threat of how easily technology is misused by anyone. AI may be one of mankind's greatest achievements, but its benefits are undermined if ethical safeguards and responsible governance are not kept in mind. Deepfake videos are damaging the trust of people and are becoming a tool for fraud. I believe AI ethics should be taught before teaching the use of AI and our local authorities should regulate high-risk technology and make laws about responsible use. Muhammad Umar Karachi
