DI Khan checkpost suicide attack case registered

DERA ISMAIL KHAN (Dunya News) - A case has been registered in connection with a suicide attack on a checkpost in Dera Ismail Khan. An FIR was registered on the complaint of the CTD, 14 sections were included, including murder, attempt to murder and terrorism. According to the text of the FIR, Fitna al Khawarij rammed a vehicle loaded with explosives into the Aman Mela Checkpost. The ambulance was transporting the injured and dead bodies when it was also targeted. A local terrorist organisation claimed responsibility for the attack. Rescue 1122 and police sources initially confirmed the blast, saying an explosives-laden vehicle rammed into the checkpost, triggering a powerful explosion. According to sources, the 13 people martyred included six police personnel, two Customs officials, two women and a two-year-old child. Several others, including police and Customs personnel, were injured in the attack. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi arrived in Dera Ismail Khan, was welcomed by former Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, and visited those injured in the suicide attack at DHQ Hospital.
