'He was an angel in this life and will be in the next,' Rorrison wrote in her tribute. Gerber, the son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber and brother of model Kaia Gerber, died on September 20 at the age of 27. He was found at a rehabilitation facility in Los Angeles, with authorities describing the death as a suspected overdose. The Santa Monica Police Department said there was no indication of foul play. Gerber's official cause of death has not yet been determined, with the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner stating that additional testing and studies were required. Gerber's death certificate confirmed that his body was cremated five days after his death, while his ashes are reportedly being kept at his parents' home in Malibu. Gerber had previously spoken publicly about addiction and his mental health journey. In a 2023 podcast appearance, he discussed his desire to help people experiencing similar struggles and emphasised the importance of offering support without judgment.
