The former couple's marital status was terminated on September 21, with both restored to single status, the documents filed with the Los Angeles Superior Court show. However, the divorce is not fully settled, as Maguire and Meyer still have outstanding issues to resolve. The pair bifurcated their marital status, meaning the court has legally ended their marriage while retaining jurisdiction over other matters in their divorce proceedings. The documents do not specify which issues remain unresolved. Maguire and Meyer separated in 2016 after nine years of marriage. The Spider-Man actor and the jewelry designer announced their decision in a joint statement, saying their priority was raising their children together with love, respect and friendship. Meyer filed for divorce in October 2020, four years after the couple separated. The former spouses later agreed to use a private judge to mediate their remaining disputes as they work towards a broader settlement. Maguire, 51, and Meyer, 49, share two children: daughter Ruby, 19, and son Otis, 17. Their divorce proceedings have continued for several years, with the latest court filing formally changing their marital status to single. Meyer has since moved on with music executive Geoffrey Ogunlesi. The couple became engaged in August 2024 and welcomed their first child, a daughter, earlier this year. Maguire, meanwhile, has largely kept his personal life out of the spotlight while continuing his career in film. His divorce from Meyer marks the legal conclusion of their marriage, although financial and other matters connected to their separation remain subject to further proceedings.
