दुर्जनस्य विशिष्टत्वं परोपद्रव कारणम्। उपोषितस्य व्याघ्रस्य पारणं पशुमारणम्॥ durjanasya viśiṣṭatvaṁ paropadrava kāraṇam| upoṣitasya vyāghrasya pāraṇaṁ paśumāraṇam|| Even the claim to greatness and generosity of evil people ultimately ends up as causing damage and misery for others. When a tiger goes on a fast with much fanfare the final result is that when it concludes the fast, a lot of poor animals are killed for the feast that happens at the conclusion of the ദുര്‍ജനസ്യ വിശിഷ്ടത്വം പരോപദ്രവ കാരണം। ഉപോഷിതസ്യ വ്യാഘ്രസ്യ പാരണം പശുമാരണം॥ ദുഷ്ടന്മാര്‍ തങ്ങള്‍ മഹാന്മാരും ഉദാരമാതികളും ആണെന്ന് അവകാശവാദം പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ച് അത് തെളിയിക്കാനായി മഹാത്തായവ ആണെന്ന് പറയുന്ന കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ ചെയ്യുവാന്‍ ഇറങ്ങിപ്പുറപ്പെട്ടു എന്നിരിക്കട്ടെ, അത്തരം പ്രവൃത്തികള്‍ പോലും മറ്റുള്ളവര്‍ക്ക് ദോഷവും നഷ്ടവും വരുത്തിവയ്ക്കുന്നവ ആയി മാത്രമേ അവസാനിക്കുകയുള്ളൂ. ഒരു കടുവ ഏറെ കൊട്ടിഘോഷിച്ച് ഉപവാസം അനുഷ്ടിച്ചാല്‍ അത്തരം ഉപവാസത്തിന് പാരണ നടത്തുന്നത് ചുറ്റുമുള്ള പാവങ്ങളായ മൃഗങ്ങളെ കൊന്നൊടുക്കി അവയുടെ മാംസം കൊണ്ട് സദ്യ നടത്തിക്കൊണ്ടു മാത്രമായിരിക്കും.
