Bhoon sends Rs5b notice to Capt (retd) Safdar

. Senior lawyer Ahsan Bhoon has sent a Rs5 billion damages notice on Captain (retd) Safdar, demanding an unconditional apology within seven days over allegations concerning his law degree. According to the notice, Bhoon obtained his LLB degree from the University of the Punjab in March 1989 under Roll No 828, and the degree was in his possession. It said the university formally verified his educational credentials on January 21, 2026, during scrutiny of candidates for the Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) elections. The notice said the university reviewed official records and verified the educational credentials.
