Love for Haramain Sharifain integral to faith: Hafiz Amjad

Chairman Majlis Ulema-o-Mashaikh Pakistan and member of Council of Islamic Ideology Sahibzada Hafiz Muhammad Amjad has called upon Muslims to remain steadfast in their commitment to the sanctity and protection of Haramain Sharifain, saying their love and reverence was an integral part of faith and the Muslim Ummah could not remain indifferent to any threat to the holy places. Addressing a Juma congregation, he said that the continued existence and security of Haramain Sharifain was of profound importance to the Muslim world. He urged Muslims to pray for protection of the holy sites as well as remain prepared to fulfill their religious and moral responsibilities. He said that enemies of Islam in the form of Houthis had posed a threat to Haramain Sharifain, requiring the Muslim world to demonstrate unity and resolve in safeguarding the sanctity of the holy places. Hafiz Amjad also paid tribute to Pakistan Army for its role in the security of Haramain Sharifain and expressed appreciation for Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal General Asim Munir for directing the Pak armed forces to undertake responsibilities related to the protection of the holy places.
