Under the new arrangements, travelers can present an approved electronic visa digitally or in printed form when entering the Philippines. The system removes the need for a physical visa sticker in the passport. Applicants can access the official portal at evisa.gov.ph to begin the application process.
The electronic visa programme will operate alongside the existing machine-readable visa sticker system. It will cover temporary visitor visas under category 9(a), along with other eligible classifications. Travelers should check the applicable requirements before submitting their applications.
However, the new visa system comes with certain restrictions. According to the advisory, electronic visas cannot be converted into another visa or immigration status inside the Philippines. The permitted duration of stay also cannot be extended under the stated rules. Travelers should therefore confirm their intended travel dates and visa conditions before departure.

The ministry also highlighted important entry requirements for Omani citizens planning to visit the Philippines. Travelers must hold passports valid for at least six months beyond their intended entry date. Visitors are also advised to obtain comprehensive health insurance for their trips. Applicants should consult the official Philippine e-visa portal and relevant authorities for the latest requirements before traveling.
