LHV trainee nurse ‘sexually assaulted'

A trainee nurse (LHV) was allegedly sexually assaulted at a Health Clinic within the jurisdiction of Thatta Sadiqabad Police Station, police said. District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Abid took immediate notice of the incident and directed police officials to arrest those allegedly involved in the incident. A case was registered at Thatta Sadiqabad Police Station on the complaint of the victim's father, according to police. Following the incident, Thatta Sadiqabad police launched immediate action and arrested the main suspect allegedly involved in the sexual assault. DPO Muhammad Abid said that indiscriminate legal action would be taken against elements involved in sexual violence and violence against women. He said that the protection, dignity and honour of women would not be compromised and directed police to ensure effective action against those involved in such offences.
