Karachi's hot weather is expected to persist for another eight to nine days, with temperatures potentially reaching 40C, according to Meteorological Department spokesperson Anjum Nazir Zeigham. Karachi residents should prepare for another spell of hot weather, as temperatures are expected to remain high over the coming days. Zeigham said October is the second-hottest month of the year in the city, with the current hot spell likely to continue for more than a week. According to Zeigham, the hot weather in Karachi is expected to persist for another eight to nine days, during which temperatures could climb to 40°C. The forecast indicates that residents may have to endure elevated daytime temperatures before conditions begin to change with the seasonal transition. Despite the ongoing heat, nighttime temperatures in Karachi have started to decline, the Meteorological Department spokesperson said. The drop in temperatures at night signals a gradual seasonal shift, although daytime conditions are expected to remain hot for the time being. Zeigham said the winter season in Karachi begins on December 15. According to the Meteorological Department spokesperson, the first 10 days of January are typically the coldest period in the city, offering a contrast to the hot conditions expected to continue through the coming days.
