Jordi Paulina comes from Borussia Dortmund – and could meet the DFB team in the summer. Fortuna Düsseldorf has signed center forward Jordi Paulina from Borussia Dortmund's U23 team and given him a long-term contract until 2030. According to media reports, the 21-year-old will cost the second division club a transfer fee of around 400,000 euros. Sports director Sven Mislintat, who knows the striker from his time at BVB, has high hopes for the new addition. 'With Jordi we have signed a very talented, mobile, robust, playful center forward who always wants to develop with great hunger,' said the new Fortuna boss. 'We deliberately gave him a 4 ½ year contract because we see high development potential in him and he will be able to make a visible impact in the second half of the season.' The attacker proved his goalscoring qualities in the current season with seven goals in eleven games for Dortmund U23 in the Regionalliga West. He previously gained experience in the 3rd division, where he made 29 appearances for BVB last season. Paulina received his football training in the Netherlands at FC Utrecht. In the senior level, he initially played for USV Hercules Utrecht before moving to BVB in the summer of 2024. Next summer he could face the German national team at the World Cup. Paulina is a national player for Curaçao, the DFB team's first opponent in the preliminary round. The attacker made his international debut last November against the Bermuda national team. He scored two goals at once. ttn-10
