Bear Lake is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Kelly Walsh. The Bears fell 2-0 to the Trojans. The game marked the first time this year in which the Bears were not able to get on the board. Leading Kelly Walsh to victory were Gia Ireland and Lillian Hudson. Ireland had 15 assists, nine digs, and a solo block, while Hudson had 13 digs and 10 kills. The team also got some help from Jenee Cantrell, who had 10 digs. This is the second loss in a row for Bear Lake and nudges their season record down to 4-2. As for Kelly Walsh, they have been on a roll lately: they've won 35 of their last 36 matchups, dating back to last year. That gives them an 8-0 record this season. Bear Lake wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Powell on the 4th. As for Kelly Walsh, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Evanston on the 4th.
