Last October, the 'Only Murders In The Building' actress celebrated her role on the 'Wizards of Waverly Place' sequel series, 'Wizards Beyond Waverly Place'. Referring to the character she plays, Gomez wrote, 'Alex Russo is a mommy. Hopefully one day that'll be me.' She included a clip from her final episode on the Disney+ series. Additionally, the couple appeared on the Jay Shetty show and gushed about how they couldn't wait to start a family. 'I don't know what will happen, obviously, but I love children,' Gomez said. 'I love making [children] laugh; they're just so sweet. So absolutely, when that day comes, I'm so excited for it.' Blanco also added that his wife has a magical connection with children. He said that Gomez will 'immediately go to the kids and has these conversations for hours with the kids.' However, the singer and actress had told Vanity Fair that she would be unable to have children biologically, as she was ridden with various diseases. 'I haven't ever said this…but I unfortunately can't carry my own children,' she said. Gomez has spoken earlier about her struggle with a Lupus diagnosis in 2015. The pop star also revealed her bipolar diagnosis in April 2020. She added, '[But] I'm in a much better place with that. I find it a blessing that there are wonderful people willing to do surrogacy or adoption, which are both huge possibilities for me.'
