News Artemis Dream® Intracranial Sirolimus-Eluting Stent System Enters NMPA Innovative Medical Device Special Review Program 08 Sep 2026 MicroPort NeuroScientific recently announced that Artemis Dream ® , a self-expanding intracranial sirolimus-eluting stent system, has been accepted into the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) Innovative Medical Device Special Review Program in China, commonly referred to as the "Green Channel." Artemis Dream ® is the seventh product from MicroPort NeuroScientific to enter the NMPA special review program. Artemis Dream® is being developed for the treatment of intracranial artery stenosis. The system consists of a self-expanding stent with microgrooves on the outer surface designed to deliver sirolimus directly to the vessel wall. Its distinctive scaffold structure enables a low-profile delivery system designed to facilitate navigation through the intracranial vasculature and access to target stenotic lesions. Intracranial atherosclerotic stenosis is an important cause of ischemic stroke. Patients with greater stenosis severity may face an increased risk of recurrent cerebrovascular events, highlighting the need for effective treatment strategies and continued innovation in intracranial intervention. Inclusion in the NMPA Innovative Medical Device Special Review Program provides Artemis Dream ® with access to a dedicated regulatory review pathway, including enhanced communication and guidance during the registration process.
