SSGC Announces New Winter Gas Supply Schedule

Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has announced a new winter gas supply schedule for domestic consumers in Sindh and Balochistan, introducing three daily supply windows under federal government directives. An SSGC spokesperson said on Wednesday that the schedule takes effect immediately and prioritizes household gas consumption during meal times. Under the revised schedule, consumers will receive gas during the following hours: Breakfast: 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Lunch: 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Dinner: 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The company also shared the schedule on its website and social media platforms, saying it was prioritizing domestic consumers by ensuring gas availability during meal times. SSGC consumers have faced limited gas availability for several years, with households unable to rely on round-the-clock supplies. The announcement follows a severe gas shortage in Karachi on Tuesday. Confusion over the situation grew after several contradictory supply schedules attributed to SSGC circulated on social media from Monday.
