ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Aug, 2026) Malaysian Interior Minister Saifuddin Nasution bin Ismail on Friday visited the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) Headquarters in Islamabad along with Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhary, where he was briefed on Pakistan's digital identity system, technology-driven public services, and ongoing modernization efforts.
During the visit, NADRA Chairman Lieutenant General Munir Afsar gave a detailed presentation on the authority's digital infrastructure, identity management framework, and initiatives aimed at improving service delivery for citizens. The briefing highlighted how technology is being used to streamline registration processes, strengthen data management, and expand access to public services.
The Malaysian interior minister was informed about NADRA's role in maintaining Pakistan's national identity database and the measures taken to provide faster and more efficient services across the country. Officials also shared details of digital platforms developed to facilitate citizens and improve service accessibility.
Speaking on the occasion, Saifuddin Nasution bin Ismail described the visit as a productive experience and appreciated the progress made by NADRA in digital transformation.
