Dexter Is Coming in Hot for Halloween: With a Midlife Crisis and Glasses!

The first teaser for Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 is here, and, well, there's not much to it. So to save you all a lot of heartache, I'll wax poetic for a bit and get right to it. Here we go! (Paramount+/Screenshot) So here's the thing. This month, I've been experimenting with glasses. I'm old. It's time. Two years ago, I got progressives, and while the frames kick ass (see my photo somewhere on here), I am not patient enough to live through an annoying blur. So, I've purchased no fewer than five pairs of glasses this month — with good old-fashioned bifocals. And it seems so adult and stupid and annoying. And then Dexter comes by, by way of the eye doctor, with glasses. Now, the odds are he's just stopping by to get to know a future victim. Hell, maybe Dan Steven's killer masquerades as an optometrist by day. (Paramount+/Screenshot) From Emmy-nominated showrunner and executive producer Clyde Phillips, Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 finds Dexter Morgan (Michael C Hall) caught between two killers. One with decades of notoriety and a lifetime of kills behind him (Brian Cox), and the other a fresh young face terrorizing New York in ways no one has ever seen (Stevens). Really, why have one killer terrorizing Dexter when we could have two? After all… Dexter is also battling a new and unexpected enemy: a mid-life crisis. Perhaps, like me, he's just struggling to see with his new glasses, and they aren't even a shtick. (Paramount+/Screenshot) Or, hell, maybe he's attacking two problems at once. We shall see soon enough, and with the way time has flown this season, we're about a cough and a sneeze away from the premire. And we can't forget Harrison (Jack Alcott), continuing his own pursuit of justice as father and son face their darkest chapter yet. Here's hoping the darkness comes from outside the family, not within.
