Gunnison among 34 cities tied for 53rd in Colorado for July scam reports

Gunnison recorded one scam report in July 2026 and was one of 34 cities tied for 53rd among 86 Colorado cities with at least one BBB Scam Tracker report, according to Better Business Bureau. The city had no scam reports listed in the previous month. The report showed a $39.38 loss from an online purchase scam; the description excerpt read: "Was an ad to by Wrangler jeans." BBB Scam Tracker lets consumers search reported scams and share their own experiences to help others recognize similar schemes. The BBB says it reviews each report before publication and does not publicly display the reporter's name or personal contact information. Fraud reports have continued to involve large financial losses nationwide.
