NLC India subsidiary gets Letter of Award for 200 MW wind project from SJVN

State-run NLC India Ltd on Tuesday (September 8) said its wholly owned subsidiary NLC India Renewables Ltd (NIRL) has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from SJVN Ltd for development of a 200 MW wind power project.NLC India Renewables emerged as the successful bidder in the Request for Selection (RfS) floated by SJVN for selecting wind power developers to supply 600 MW of wind power from Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected wind power projects on a pan-India basis.The project was awarded through a Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding process, with NIRL securing a contracted capacity of 200 MW. The company said NLC India Renewables participated in the Request for Selection floated by SJVN and emerged as the successful bidder for development of the project.ALSO READ | NLC India board okays listing of green arm NIRL, declares interim dividendFollowing the outcome of the bidding process, NLC India Renewables received the Letter of Award from SJVN.This month, NLC India said its wholly owned subsidiary NLC India Renewables Ltd (NIRL) has emerged as the successful bidder for a 275 MW/550 MWh standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Gujarat.NLC India Renewables participated in the tender floated by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL) for setting up standalone battery energy storage systems in Gujarat under Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding.Following the successful bid, NLC India Renewables has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from GUVNL for development of the project.
