Four-day Workweek Notification Is Fake: MOIB

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Sep, 2026) The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting's (MOIB) Fact Checker on Thursday clarified that a notification circulating on social media regarding changes in the working days of the Government of Pakistan was fake. According to the MOIB Fact Checker, the purported notification falsely claims that a four-day working week has been introduced, with Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday as working days and Friday, Saturday and Sunday as off days. The fake notification, dated Sept 16, 2026, has been attributed to the Cabinet Division and refers to an earlier notification purportedly issued on Sept 15. The MOIB Fact Checker advised the public not to believe or share the misleading content and urged citizens to rely on official government channels for authentic notifications and announcements. The public was also advised to verify information circulating on social media through official sources before sharing it.
