Share GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Happy Labor Day to all my fellow workers out there, here's to doing what we need to do and what we love to do! Labor Day Night: Daytime temps have been near average today in the upper 80s. An airmass is passing over the Florida-Georgia border, maintaining standard rainstorm chances until tonight, then winds will shift to be out of the east. Nighttime lows will be around 72°. Tuesday: Another day with a mix of some sun and afternoon to evening thundershowers, coverage will influence high temperatures which are expected to be in the upper 80s, but 90° is possible. Winds will be east 5-15 MPH with nighttime lows in the 70s. Extended: Despite the incoming air mass, moist flow continues (it's Florida) so daily rain chances continue this week with temps in the upper 80s, which is nice and normal as the average for this time is 89°. Congratulations Gators for this weekend's win! Tropical Update: September is the peak part of the hurricane season, but there are currently no developments expected in the Atlantic basin. .
