South African winger Thapelo Maseko has wasted little time making his mark at FC Copenhagen, scoring twice in his first start for the Danish giants walloping Odense BK 5-0 on Sunday
Maseko, who joined Copenhagen after making his name in South Africa and playing and scoring in the World Cup against South Korea, has, announced himself in style as he continues to settle into life at the club.
The brace will be a major boost for the 22-year-old, who has been looking to establish himself as an important attacking option in Copenhagen's squad.
The pacey attacker previously played for SuperSport United later joining Mamelodi Sundowns.
His performances for Sundowns helped revive his career and put him back on the radar of European clubs.
The performance also comes at an important time for the South African, with competition for places in the club's attack expected to be fierce as Copenhagen chase domestic and European honours.
For Bafana Bafana, Maseko's return to form will also be welcomed, particularly as South Africa continue to build towards major international assignments.
