'Married at First Sight UK' star Holly Ditchfield wrote a lengthy Instagram post on Sept. 5 to announce the untimely death of premature twin boys Georgie and Marley. 'It has been the hardest, most heartbreaking, yet most magical 9 days of our lives,' she wrote in a combined post with partner Aaron Summers. 'My boys both took their final breaths in the arms of me and their daddy. There is no greater privilege, and no greater pain, than holding your children as they leave this world,' she continued. Holly Ditchfield and Aaron Summers shared the heartbreaking news that their twins died. Instagram/Holly Ditchfield and Aaron Summers According to previous Instagram posts, the boys were born on Aug. 26, 2026 via C-section at 23 weeks and 5 days gestation. They each weighed just over 1 pound. 'Having to prepare for the arrival of two premature babies at just 23 weeks was something I was never prepared for, but the care, reassurance and constant support from the incredible teams around us helped carry us through,' Ditchfield wrote on Aug. 27. The couple shared a video on Aug. 29 to raise awareness, and funds, for their NICU team. 'We never thought we was going to be premature baby parents,' Ditchfield said in the video while wiping away a tear. 'As someone who's had full-term pregnancies before, you don't prepare yourself for ... like ... how small your babies are going to be and how fragile they are.' (Ditchfield has two older children from a previous relationship.) 'My hat goes off to anyone else going through this because you don't realize how much of a common thing it is and how many people are also going through the same situation,' Summers added. 'It's so humbling and so nice to see that we're not alone.' Ditchfield noted that as hard as they're fighting to keep their babies with them, the babies are fighting just as hard to stay. She shared an update when the boys were one week old. 'One week down, my beautiful boys,' she wrote. 'Keep fighting, Georgie & Marley. Your mummy is so unbelievably proud of you both. 🩵🩵' In her most recent post announcing the newborns' deaths, Ditchfield announced that Georgie 'peacefully passed away' on Sept. 3, and 'his beautiful brother Marley followed him' early the next morning. Ditchfield wrote, 'Nothing could ever prepare you for losing your children. Nothing prepares you for having to walk your babies to a mortuary.' She continued, 'My body feels different. It feels like a part of me is no longer here, because a part of me truly isn't ... I would have given absolutely everything to have watched Georgie and Marley grow, to hear their voices, watch them take their first steps, and see the beautiful lives they deserved to have.' Asking followers to respect how difficult it is for them to process this news, Ditchfield wrote that 'for 9 precious days, they were here. They were ours. They were loved beyond measure. And they will forever be our beautiful boys. 🤍'
