Manchester dance-rockers Working Men's Club released their most recent album Fear Fear in 2022, and we were into it. Since then, frontman Sydney Minsky Sargeant launched an acoustic-leaning solo career, and that was nice too. Now the band is back with a high-profile new single. Minsky Sargeant co-produced Working Men's Club new track "Devout" with Atticus Ross, the Oscar-winning composer and producer who has been Trent Reznor's main musical collaborator, in and out of Nine Inch Nails, for many years now. The association makes a lot of sense when you hear the throbbing, percolating backdrop for this track. It's probably closer to New Order than NIN, but there's a harsh edge to it that has me thinking of Factory Floor. Watch the "Devout" video below. "Devout" is out now on Domino.
