Notification Issued for Kichha, Siraulikalan Municipal Council Election in Udham Singh Nagar district

State Election Commissioner Shri Sushil Kumar has issued a notification for the election of Chairpersons and members of the Municipal Council, Kichha, and the Municipal Council, Siraulikalan, in the Udham Singh Nagar district. Advertisement State Election Commissioner Shri Sushil Kumar stated that the procedure followed for this election will be the one prescribed and directed by the State Election Commission for urban local body elections. According to the prescribed schedule, nomination papers will be accepted from September 10 to September 11, 2026, between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on September 12 from 10:00 AM until the close of work; withdrawal of nominations will be allowed on September 13 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM; and election symbols will be allotted on September 14 from 10:00 AM until the close of work. Polling will be held on September 22 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and the counting of votes will take place on September 24, 2026, from 8:00 AM until the close of work. He stated that the processes regarding the receipt, scrutiny, and withdrawal of nomination papers, the allotment of election symbols, and the counting of votes will be conducted by the concerned Returning Officers and Assistant Returning Officers at locations designated by the District Magistrate/District Election Officer. All relevant offices will remain open even on public holidays falling within the aforementioned schedule.
