TGI Fridays Signs Balkan Development Agreement With Devolli Group

TGI Fridays announced the agreement Sept. 4, 2026, marking its entry into Kosovo, Albania and North Macedonia. Devolli Group will develop 10 TGI Fridays restaurants across the three markets. Devolli Group secured exclusive rights to sub-franchise TGI Fridays throughout Kosovo, Albania and North Macedonia. The agreement establishes a basis for additional development across Southeast Europe. The agreement is part of TGI Fridays' 1-2-3 Strategic Vision, which calls for operating more than 1,000 restaurants worldwide by 2030. TGI Fridays uses a franchise-first development model for its international expansion. During the past nine months, TGI Fridays signed development agreements in Kenya and the Maldives and extended partnerships in Peru, Japan, Mexico, the Philippines, Greece, Cyprus and Spain. Those agreements added more than 150 restaurants to TGI Fridays' global development pipeline. TGI Fridays has operations in Greece, Cyprus, Spain, Norway and the United Kingdom. The agreement adds Kosovo, Albania and North Macedonia to its European operations. The partnership is expected to create employment opportunities, invest in local hospitality talent and contribute to foodservice, tourism and visitor-economy activity in the region. Devolli Group President Blerim Devolli said the company plans to introduce TGI Fridays in Albania, Kosovo and North Macedonia and build a long-term business in the region.
