ISLAMABAD: The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) has generated more than Rs. 10 billion through the sale of 15 commercial plots during the first day of its two-day auction in Islamabad.
The auction featured commercial properties in several parts of sectors G-13 and G-14, including locations in G-14 Markaz and G-14/2, G-14/3 and G-14/4.
15 Commercial Plots Sold
According to FGEHA, the first day of the auction resulted in sales exceeding Rs. 10 billion from 15 commercial plots. The strong revenue generated during the opening session highlights continued demand for commercial property in developing areas of Islamabad.
The authority has identified G-13 and G-14 as areas undergoing significant development, with expanding commercial activity expected to support future business and investment opportunities.
FGEHA Highlights Transparent Auction Process
FGEHA Director General retired Captain Zafar Iqbal said the authority was focused on maintaining a transparent and merit-based process for the auction.
He noted that an organized auction mechanism could help strengthen investor confidence while contributing to commercial development in the sectors where the plots are located.
The auction is being conducted over two days, with additional properties being offered according to the authority's announced schedule.
Investor Support Facility Established
FGEHA has also established an Investor Facilitation Cell to provide assistance to participants and address investor-related concerns.
The cell is operating under the supervision of the Director Staff and is intended to help investors obtain relevant information and resolve issues connected with the auction process.
Commercial Property Market Impact
The auction results provide an indication of the financial demand for commercial plots in G-13 and G-14. As development and commercial activity expand in these sectors, newly auctioned properties could contribute to the area's business environment.
However, the final impact on surrounding property values and commercial activity will depend on future development, infrastructure, occupancy and broader market conditions.
For prospective investors, official FGEHA auction documents, plot specifications, payment conditions, development status and applicable approvals should be reviewed carefully before making any property-related commitment.
