Driver suffers self-inflicted gunshot wound after pursuit in south Lubbock

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - The Lubbock County Sheriff's Office says they are assisting the Buffalo Springs Police Department after a pursuit of a stolen vehicle Monday afternoon. LSO says the pursuit ended at approximately 1:15 p.m. in the 8900 block of Highway 87. The driver of the vehicle abandoned the stolen vehicle and ran on foot, according to the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office. The driver then suffered an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. EMS is currently responding, no word yet on injuries at this time. This is a developing story,
