SNGPL announces temporary Gas suspension in several Islamabad areas

ISLAMABAD: Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has announced a temporary suspension of gas supply to several areas of the federal capital due to work on a main gas pipeline. According to a notice issued by SNGPL, gas supply will remain suspended from 9:00pm on Monday, September 7, until 5:00am on Tuesday, September 8, due to the disconnection of the main pipeline near Khanna Pul, Service Road East, along Islamabad Expressway. The affected areas include Ghauri Town to Faizabad East Service Road, Lehtrar Road from Khanna Pul to Burma Town, Sohan, Ghauri Town, Gulberg, Shakrial, Rehman Garden and adjoining areas. SNGPL has advised consumers in the affected areas to make alternative arrangements during the suspension period. The company also urged consumers to keep gas appliances switched off while the supply remains suspended to avoid any untoward incident when gas service is restored.
