Dominic Iorfa has continued to train with Rotherham United this week as the two parties weigh up whether they can reach an agreement over a contract at AESSEAL New York Stadium. The 31-year-old, who spent seven years with Sheffield Wednesday, is a free agent and can, therefore, be signed even though the summer transfer window closed at the start of this month. He has just the kind of experience the Millers would love to add to their backline as they seek to make a mark in League Two following last season's relegation. Finances may be a sticking point as the former Wolverhampton Wanderers youngster will have been a high earner throughout a career taking in well over 300 matches and Rotherham, obviously, won't be able to come anywhere close to matching his previous salary. However, he lives in the town, has school-age children and is settled in the area, so that could work in the club's favour. He began training with Rotherham last week and the arrangement has continued since the weekend. The Advertiser asked Alex Bruce about the situation last Thursday afternoon and the head coach said: "Yeah, he trained here this morning. He's someone who lives 15 minutes down the road.
