SIALKOT, Sep 11 (APP):Deputy Director (DD) Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Sialkot, Pakiza Bukhari, along with Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) President Syed Ahtesham Mazhar, held a meeting with members of the Sialkot Textile Dyers Association at the SCCI Auditorium. The meeting was represented by Iqbal Asad, Chairman of the SCCI Chemical, Textile Dyeing, Machinery and Related Sectors Committee. Chaudhry Ahmad Zulfiqar Hayat, Chief Executive Officer of the Sialkot Tannery Association, and Muhammad Atif, Project Director of the Sialkot Tannery Zone (STZ), also attended the meeting. The participants discussed measures to mitigate industrial pollution and ensure compliance with environmental standards in the textile dyeing sector. The meeting also focused on Environmental Protection Agency-prescribed environmental standard operating procedures (SOPs) for textile dyeing units and compliance with the applicable environmental laws and regulations. The participants stressed the importance of adopting environmentally responsible practices while ensuring smooth operations of the textile dyeing industry.
