Last night in Ukraine...

During the night of September 8,russia carried out another massive combined attack on Ukraine, using ballistic, cruise and anti-ship missiles, as well as different types of attack drones. According to Ukraine's Air Force, russia launched32 Kh-101 cruise missiles, ballistic and anti-ship missiles, as well as 166 attack UAVs. Air defense forces neutralized175 aerial targets, but missile and drone strikes were recorded at29 locations, with debris from intercepted targets falling at 9 more locations. The main strikes targeted theKyiv and Odesa regions, but the consequences of the attack were also recorded inKyiv, Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia and Chernihiv regions. InKyiv, russian strikes caused fires and destruction in several districts of the capital. Residential buildings, a dormitory, a private school, a clinic, shops, warehouses and other civilian infrastructure were damaged. According to updated reports, at least3 people were killedand19 people were injuredin Kyiv. The attack on the capital did not end overnight. During the day,russia continued striking Kyiv, including a drone strike that partially destroyed the building of a Ukrainian TV channel and injured5 people. In theKyiv region, the attack caused fires at industrial enterprises, damaging warehouses, vehicles and other civilian sites. In theOdesa region, russian strikes damaged civilian infrastructure. A large market near Odesa was attacked, with trade pavilions damaged and a security guard injured. InKharkiv, a russian drone hit a multistory residential building. At least2 people were injured. In theSumy region, russian forces attacked the Kyiv to Sumy passenger train twice with drones. The train was stopped in advance, passengers and crew were evacuated, and no casualties were reported. In theDnipropetrovsk region, several districts came under attack. A State Emergency Service fire and rescue unit, an administrative building and an agricultural enterprise were damaged. A 29-year-old woman was injured. Zaporizhzhia and Chernihiv regionswere also among the regions affected by russian strikes.
